steve_b_wales
Is there any need for a crimp die for the above calibre?
Doggone
Never used one myself, just neck size run the cases through a Lee deluxe quick trim and load. The extreme spread is only about 30 fps average. Andy
rem708
Crimps do nothing more than damage the smooth contour of the bullet and reduce the case life. Neck tension is all you need! Crimps are necessary in military rounds for automatic weapons to stop the bullets being driven into the case when in a magazine. Ask a bench rifle shooter if there is any accuracy advantage? r1steele
I never have with mine (only neck sizing) and get great results using cci small primers, Ramshot TAC and 32 Sierra BK's.

I haven't tried the Ramshot powders.
Woodlander
I'm still working up a load for my 20" barrelled Sako and have been advised to try n135 with either Federal 205 match primers or 7.5s. The correct primer choice can shrink your groups by a 1/2,I've been told. Powder choice may vary with barrel length.
