winnie&bezza
Morning all. Been told by bloke at gunshop that on my s400 you can undo the threaded bolt that fixes bolt handle and then turn it over so it can be used left handed. The curve of the bolt will then be facing downwards instead of up. I've undone bolt securing it but it won't come off and still feels solid. Any ideas? kent
Not sure as I haven't worked on one but if a thread feels overly stiff it's likely had some thread lock on it. Apply heat
bruno22rf
I think that you will also need to strip out the action and move the locking lug on the bolt around 180 degrees-as for the bolt handle, I,m pretty sure that they have studloc or something similar applied at the factory so heat from a hairdryer etc should help. winnie&bezza
Cheers chaps. The bolt undoes but the actual handle still feels solid. Will put the hairdryer on it later. Makes sense about lug bruno, cheers for that.
figgy
Tried to move one myself and I got worried that I was going to break or bend something so put the screws back in and left it alone. Hope the heat works.
