oowee
Had a call today from the local farmer crows on the maize. Knowing it had been in over a week thought the claim unlikely but having finished the lawn thought I would get down there. Looked at the fields and the maize was 15cm tall and looking great so called in at the farm to be pointed at a small 6 acre field with a few poking about. Set up knowing I only had a couple of boxes of shells and sure enough in came the birds, Jackdaws three at a time. 41 shot in an hour and I was out of ammo . Hopefully I get a chance to go back on fri.
robbiep
Nice one ! I've been out a few times on freshly drilled maize here. Slow shooting, but had close on 50 jackdaws, rooks and crows in the last 3 weeks. Best evening was only 11 though !
WelshMike
Well done buddy. I managed 33 on a freshly drilled field of maize the other afternoon. Farmer said they were on his spring barley field, but he hadnt actually told me that the barley field with crows on it was actually one of his when he showed me the boundaries. Contemplating a 5.00 a.m foray tomorrow morning. Keep up the good work
