Donegalcharlie
Does anyone here have this rifle as I have just put a deposit down on one. If so what set up of scope's/mod's do you lot have or would recommend. Thanks in advance
ben0850
Got the same rifle, it's a cracking 'tack driver' accuracy wise. Mines got a sack mod and night eater scope. My only moan would be the weight of the heavy varmint barrel (although it's well balanced) and the trigger is pants! Sort out a trigger kit and it's a whole new world lol. Donegalcharlie
This one of mine is costing me roughly £500 comes with a mod and a scope and bi-pod ten shot mag into the deal. First time buying a rifle so any advice is good lad must look into this trigger business 👍
Katash
Trigger can be improved massively with a replacement spring - dead easy to fit and dirt cheap.
Outdoorsman
They are quite good straight from the box really, took mine 30 rounds or so before it started to group properly, the trigger kits are only 15quid and make a world of difference but if you do it yourself watch out for the little ball its a nightmare, i also bedded mine and its now unbelievable, another note is that if you ever do remove it from the stock you really do need a torque gauge as they are or at least mine was very torque sensitive
Donegalcharlie
Thanks for the advice lads think I might be better of getting this trigger kit for all it costs. Think I might look for someone to fit it then over here it's not something I would want to make a hash of! 👌👍
7daysinaweek
hi i have an LEI moderator on mine, expensive at £150 but excellent bit of kit, that said a mod is a mod. i have a leupold 3-9x 50 ballistic milldot on mine, this was a spare scope i had and a much cheaper scope than this would easily suffice. any 3-9 x 50 would be fine on you rifle, you can pick up some excellent second hand scopes for very little money, giving quality and a great financial saving. atb 7diaw Edited June 20, 2016 by 7daysinaweek
Donegalcharlie
The scope that is coming with this rifle is an Optik 3x9x40 looks **** on the gun tbh it just looks 2 small for the rifle any of you lads know if it is??
minibbb
I have one in HMR and love it although it's a bit of a hefty beast! Mine has a yo dave trigger kit fitted which is great and v easy to fit- really easy DIY job. Scope wise I think 3-9x40 is a little low for a HMR. I use a Hawke 4-16x50 and it's fine for the money
Donegalcharlie
I will prob just buy a new hawke endurance 4-16x50 SF with LR Dot seen a couple of lads with them on these HMR's so seems a good shout.
