TONY R
I'd like to think that I can more than 'scrape by' when using factory loads on ducks. A 36 gm of no 1 or 2 has killed many high ducks, factory loaded or not. HIGH is a broad margin, probable that broad a margin there is no room left to write on this page. motty
Well, what do you consider to be a high shot on a duck. HIGH is a broad margin, probable that broad a margin there is no room left to write on this page.
TONY R
Well, what do you consider to be a high shot on a duck. As high as i can get a suitable pattern of appropriatly lethal shot on the bird , to talk yards on an open forum is suicide you know that as much as me. Man it would do 18 pages easy and then get locked at a crucial bit. I prefer using reloads on LONG RANGE Duck at the ranges i shoot them. Guest cookoff013
I shot long range rabbits a few times. 2s 4s etc. I didn't hit everything I aimed at. But I shot a few. Not much meat damage as pattern is very thin. I've used 3" and 3.5". Shots like that are far and few between.
TONY R
As i said i am ok for a few years yet for a Steel and Blue dot i will get by for life probably, But for those not so fortunate i feel for you, and i think the best options would be these, For ten and super magnum 12s vitavouri 3N38, and Magnum or shorter chambered 12s magnum goose loads SSB150, not tried SSB150 in any light high speed 12s but not many seem to chose higher speed steel now. If we could turn up some M92S in regular supply i would go back to some fast loads i used back in the day thats for sure.
