Gun Watch
Savage Arms Savage 24 SD O/U Combination . £300 Other Rifle Private Seller Used - Excellent Condition Nr Portsmouth, Hampshire Other Description Selling my Savage 24SD to help fund other projects . Made in I believe 1968 and built like a tank , Blueing a bit thin in places as you would expect of a gun of this age . But overall in pretty good condition . The .22/.410 format is perfect for a "Walking around" gun , And covers a lot of the bases for vermin when mooching around over the woods . Original iron sights are in places and are surprisingly good . However , I've also fitted a short light compact scope on dovetail to weaver bases . Also added a barrel mounted front sling point and a custom made leather stock mounted shell holder that holds 4 X .410 shells and 4 X .22RF rounds . And a sling that holds another 4 shotgun shells and has a small pouch that holds up to another 30 RF rounds . Please feel free to contact me should anyone require more photos of info . Test firing by appointment no problem , And willing to transfer at buyers cost . Snap caps for both cals and cleaning kit , Rod and brushes etc... Now included . Many thanks for reading , All the best fellas . This gun is being sold by Pigeon Watch member mr who?. fallowbuck
Very servicable piece.Just the job for this time of year mooching about the hedgerows.
mr who?
FallowBuck . 100% agree mate . The .22/.410 format is pretty good for shooting most small game . I use the .410 for targets in tree tops and on the move , And the .22RF for stuff on the ground and a little further away . It's a lot easier to carry than trying to lug two fire arms around with you . So if its so good why am I selling it? The only reasons are (1) I could do with the extra pennys to help finance my next project , And (2) I could really do with the space in my safe for my next project . Looking to drip my toe into the world of CF . Ive also got an Investarm .410/20G O/U Combination shotgun for sale , Would cut someone a really good deal on them IF brought at the same time? All the best fellas . Andy .
