Hi there , I work abroad but a colleague who lives in Chesire area is wanting to get an air rifle to plink about & maybe do bit of ratting / rabbits etc s .

He was asking my advice & he's not wanting to spend huge amount as not sure if he will stick it .

So. I advice a Springer or gas ram rather than pcp , and all that goes with it , cylinders etc .

So Springer or gas ram ? What's advantages / disadvantages .

Also I'm only familiar with weirauch to be honest so what one to get ?

He's looking at a gas ram gammo .

Any good shops Chesire area ( I'm Scotland).

Or even local to him 2nd hand ?

Cheers

Paul

The gas ram gammo needs work (cleaning/polishing/sanding) to get it working at its best. Mine wasn't great to begin with, the finish isn't the best and rusts rather easily.
