ben0850
It's a sorry state of affairs when we don't get surprised by things like this, my sympathy Steve. We have close / immediate family losses and the thought of someone being so disrespectful really saddens me, almost a feeling beyond anger but one of total disappointment and sadness at what this worlds turning into. digger
Hope you get it back Steve. It's another sign of the times we're living in. There's always been a minority element in this country that haven't been brought up in a proper way but the influx of people who are coming into our country nowadays have a completely different mind set to us ergo swans and big carp being roasted on the bankside etc. sometimes it's dog eat dog where they come from. Don't know what the answer is but I know it's gonna get worse before it gets better. Utter tripe and idiotic. Sorry to hear your news Steve, I hope you find the statue or it is returned and you can place it where it belongs.
Sha Bu Le
Not a new thing unfortunately, around 18 years ago a chap on our estate who had lost his young daughter placed various meaningful toys on her grave. One by one they disappeared. He replaced them several times only to have the new ones go also. Went on for months, then the low life started damaging the grave. Drove him to despair, he visited the grave every day in the hopes of deterring whoever it was. Did not happen. After around 3 years it stopped, either the scrote(s) got bored or grew up or lost a family member themselves and found a sensible head. No one was ever caught so the guy will never find out. Steve hope you get the dog back but sad to say don't hold your breath. ATB Bri
Sha Bu Le
At the other end of the scale a group young people male and female used to visit a grave the same day each year (anniversary I guess). Found out they were friends and class mates of a young lad who was killed in a road 'accident' They brought flowers and other things to place on the grave and spent at least an hour at the graveside. The lad who had died was a devout Sunderland fan so a lot of the mementos were SAFC related. As they got older and had their kids they even brought them to visit, One guy even parked his car and played 'You'll never walk alone' on the car stereo every year. That was almost twenty year ago, the came every year for around ten years. Sadly I don't see them so often these days, guess they've grown up, moved away etc. The point of this anecdotal story is that the caring people outnumber the scrotes toe rags and oxygen thieves. How do I know all this? well my back garden butts up to the fence of a large cemetery and we see a lot going on.
