new to the flock
Work him on his obediance on lead in areas where there are other dogs. Keep at it until he learns that he will have to listen even with distractions, and other dogs around. NTTF

v-max
Yes the dog is a youngster but it need'd rule's & need's to know who the boss is you need to push maturity into them of what's expected. You cant treat them like a baby all the time or you will have a ruiend dog that know's how to play you.Im not saying beat them up as it's very rare done right you have to do this if you read the dog's temp right.A dog's aim is to please you the master & they want to learn & can learn quick ie a soft touch & it's 9/10yrs of working hell with your dog. steve_k
the best think i can think of is to make your dog feel uncomfortable using the lead when he starts bouncing. after a few times he will soon learn eho the boss is and get the message. make sure you talk to him as you go. tone of voice mekes a really differance! good luck! sk
ratus
Cheers Steve & V-max, I usually get people saying he's only a pup, to which i reply well when hes twice the size he is now i'll let him jump up at you, i'm sure you'll say different!! v-max
Pesonaly i dont like dog's up unless needed early in training. My advise to you is next time give a good pull on the lead & tell him to sit down & enforce he dose this once he dose this neal to his level & rub his chest & praise him for this rubbing the chest can came them down.
