toxo
I'm about to put in a variation to step up from the .22LR but I'm really struggling to decide what to go for. Cost is a major factor so will put in for a HMR but with the time it's taking to turn around a variation here in Kent I'm trying to think of the future. Not interested in deer or anything bigger than a fox. Not about to shoot crows and pigeons for a £1 a pop, rabbits either come to that. Would love more reach obviously but only to medium ranges and has to be cost effective. .17 hornet seems a reasonable upgrade and would be something to shoot with if hmr ammo gets suspect again or is not available. Question is at what cost? So what do you guys pay for reloaded .17 hornet? And how much would the total equipment setup set me back?
snow white
17 hornet cost 40pence to reload.
mick miller
As above, 39p per reload working on 6 reloads from PPU brass. So, 10p more than hmr.
toxo
Thanks peeps. Appreciate it. Any idea of the cost of the equipment?
MrDaveO84
I'm thinking about selling my entire .17 hornet set up soon mate so if your interested I'll drop you a line. I will sell all the reloading equipment with it as well. Your fairly local to me so you can have all the bullets too. Just need to work out how much I want for it as there is a lot of gear
toxo
I wrote a reply to this Dave. Prolly fell asleep before I sent it. Anyway, won't hurt to see what you're selling and for how much. Can't take a rifle obviously as I don't have a slot for it yet. Paul I wrote a reply to this Dave. Prolly fell asleep before I sent it.
