herby
Any thoughts on tier one for their products? Moderators and mounts?

Medic1281
Very good. I use their mounts and they are solid, well made and nice looking. Not cheap, but you'll never need to buy more mounts. (Unless you buy more guns!!)
maxwell
Mounts are well made from a single billet I believe on CNC, they also fit Tikka action so no rail or bases needed, the mods are well engineered but there are better on the market for sound moderation, just my opinion of course. herby
Thanks for replys. You mention there are better. I have ordered a pepper pot muzzle break and over barrel. I am reserved how well the break will work inside the moderator. Does anyone have one?
chrisv
Herby, I think you've already worked out the answer. If you stand close to a rifle with an effective muzzle brake the blast can be extremely unpleasant. Stick it in a metal tube and it won't work. However a well designed brake inside a moderator would surely manage the gases better and help the moderator work as well as possible. The fact that you have a moderator fitted will reduce recoil anyway. I had a Third Eye (now Tier One) over barrel type on my light 308. The moderator didn't upset the balance as it was very light, but it was a joy to shoot. Very little recoil and good noise reduction. Hope this helps
