TDS
As to the post above , a £10 reamer would be useless and would be probably made of Chinese monkey metal It would need a quality expanding reamer as barrel bores can run from .719 , or tighter , to anything around.740 inch Unless you had a lot of guns to modify , it would be cheaper to let a pro do it Edited October 15, 2016 by TDS
Gunman
May I point out from long personal experience [35 years of altering chokes ] that the steel used by AyA dose not always cut as cleanly as you would like when reaming ,so it was my practice to only use the reamer to take the bulk out then finish on a honing machine ..There a lot of people who and I do understand that you want to do things as economically as possible , begrudge paying to have things done properly ,then bemoan the fact that there are no good gunsmiths left . That said I have just got a new "Dremal" and cant see much problem with drilling a few teeth to save paying through the nose to dentist , so any takers ?. miroku_fan
When you consider the price for replacement barrels required after a botched job then the cost of getting a professional gunsmith to open up your chokes pales into insignificance.
