Walker570
Whatever floats your boat. Try everything and anything till you start putting them in the middle of the pattern. I was taught over 60yrs ago to shoot both eyes open for everything and later found it applied to serious tactical stuff as well, because if there is a chance you may also be the target as well as the shooter you want as much all round vision as you can get. Shot handguns with both eyes open tactically for fourteen years.... don't ask me how, because I don't know but I suppose a lot of it is a natural ability. My grandfather was a superb shot with anything, catty to 12 bore, so may have some of his genes. Certainly some professional advise is worth having but when you think about it, you don't have sights on your index finger but can instinctively point at any object very accurately WITHOUT looking down your finger, so instinct plays a very important part as does practise practise practise, if you don't have a natural genetic ability, which I am convinced many good shots do have. Andy Crow ooooozes that instinctive ability, but also does a lot of shooting to hone it. Edited December 13, 2016 by Walker570
