SSS
Can anyone clear up for me what I can and can't buy in terms of rat poison? I was under the impression that i could buy up to a certain weight (1.5KG?) but i asked in the local country store today and they said i can't buy any 'decent' poison without a farm assurance number or relevant qualifications, only more hobby-type stuff that happens to be a load of ****. Is there a free training course available or any alternatives? SSS
UKPoacher
You can find out more about the new regulations here: http://www.hse.gov.uk/biocides/eu-bpr/rodenticides.htm Basically in order to but or use pro' spec' poisons you need to be licenced and that means completing a course. Paul in North Lincs.
I would familiarise yourself the CRRU guidelines (campaign for responsible rodenticide use) Label instructions have change and restrictions placed on the use of second generation anticoagulant rodenticides. This is being driven Europe wide by the Biocidal Product Regulations.

Fisheruk
Have a look at the NGO website, they run courses for members, but there is a modest charge, as you would expect.
