do yourself and the kids a big favour grieve for your lab as that is normal but get another one quick it will never replace what you have lost but it will be the best thing you will ever do I spent years after losing my kim and the mrs didn't want to go through the heartbreak again but when I got her to change her mind and got abbie my black lab the whole family came alive again just do it .rob

Sorry for your loss, I can't say it gets easier I'm afraid. Another pup will help though.

We had the same with our old dog, heartbroken when he went. About 3 years with out a 'big dog' and the house felt empty. Then I got my boy and like you said, everyone came alive. Then got another aswell :lol:

Sadly we said goodbye to our lab at the weekend. I took the kids to the beach today to say a proper goodbye. My oldest who is 8 is heartbroken. Here is the sun setting in more than one way,quite apt.
