moving my cabinet

i want to move my cabinet because it is in a damp area and i am worried about rust, do i need to tell the police what i'm doing?

Not as long as it's in your house, and on a solid wall, but not in a garage

You can move it around your house without informing the police, it's only when you move house that you have to inform them B)

The garage is fine, as long as it is attached to the house and has an interconecting door and the house and garage are alarmed.

I would check with your FLO on this mate, I would think they would want to ok the location and fixing of it..

For the sake of a two minute phone call I would call them.

 

 

They come out to look at the cabinet in the beginning and so they are obviously interested in it's location. Like I said, I would phone them!

The FEO will want to know where it is, and how it's fixed, so give him a bell.

A call to ask advice on new location and then a visit and bacon rolls to confirm the move is ok

They will want to know about this, I live in kent and had to have a seperate inspection when I moved my cabinet from the loft to the bedroom, definitely call them and check, whatever answer you get on this forum is not as good as the one you get from your issueing force so they are the only ones with a difinitive answer.

I asked about changing my safe some time ago, and was told to just do it. For the sake of a phone call (probably takes about as long as replying to this) I'd check with your FEO. It keeps them happy, which can only be a good thing

you need to tell the police so they can tell you a good place to put it and advise you and most importantly ,they need the inspect it afterwoods
