HDAV
Just been here http://www.4x4drivingschool.com Had an amazing morning learning to drive a landrover for what it was designed for! Proper mud! Really enjoyed it and learnt how to handle the machine and eat a front diff no matter quick swap and back out in another to carry on! Recommend it if you ever fancied driving off-road (this isn't a instruction course) it's get in drive and drive and drive on some proper terrain! £100 a head for half a day it's not cheap but I think good value... oh And if you think you and your own vehicle are up the challenge then have a bash but I would take one of there machines and not worry about banging scrapping and breaking your ride home........ That sounds like fun ok most of us probably do the odd green lane and go across muddy fields but we do not have the real outdoors like they do in much bigger countries to go doing this stuff but still it would be good to see how the pro's do it even if it is only for a half a day. Davyo
I did a course and what they can teach you about driving is the difference between you getting through or getting stuck the next time your out lamping at 2am.
HDAV
This wasn't a learn how to drive your 4x4 course type stuff this is push the limits of what you can do and get stuck, get dragged out and go again in their LR based trail type trucks, tdi manual coil sprung full cage job! There was a guy on the course in his own road legal disco 2 but was going ever so gently.......(you can pay and play I. Your own car at your risk but a lot of people break stuff! Different, steering lumps etc and have to be AA/RAC home) if your looking for something a bit different to do with some mates or your kids ( no liscence required but need to be able to handle the car and be tall enough)it's a great day out! Just take a change of clothes! Edited February 19, 2017 by HDAV
