Bettinsoli X trail Sporter

Hi,

 

I'm looking to maybe purchase a Bettinsoli X trail sporter as a starter for clays sporting shoots and was looking for opinions on them.

Had one as my first gun. Loved it and never let me down. Still have it in the cabinet now.

I should have probably done this first before posting just had a look at previous posts about Bettinsoli. Does anyone know if they managed to cure the double fire problem?

 

I've been having a look online and from what I can see, people are saying it is a good starter and very reasonably priced.

 

I was looking at secondhand but the RFD swayed me to a new Bettinsoli, the 3 year warranty did help. He did say go and do a bit of research before you buy and I can test fire one but would need to go when they have more staff on.

I'm waiting for one at my local RFD, they said 6 to 8 weeks about 4 weeks ago. I got it at a good price so waiting for them to get one

I had an X Trail as my first shotgun. It was a really nice gun. Only sold it as i was just trying out different guns and couldnt afford to have too many at once.

As i said,really nice gun.had a few experienced shooters try it and they all gave it the thumbs up.

I think you will find,the double discharge problem was with some of the older Bettinsolis and pretty sure the problem was sorted some time ago.

Just to say,when i take up a new interest,i go through a lot of gear,hence selling on the X Trail. I have had ten different shotguns in the 3 years i have been shooting.

Now have a lovely AYA Yeoman with beaver tail forend,which fits me perfectly and an old Breda over under.Just purchased my first rifle,a CZ .17hmr.

But im sure you will be happy with the X Trail.
