Wingman
Been up to my permission a few times over the last couple of weeks, and I have never seen it so devoid of wildlife. Apart from the odd pigeon (and I mean 1 or two over maybe a 3/4 hour period) there is nowt going on at all. Even walking through the woods I hardly saw a thing apart from the odd squirrel which I don't normally bother with and setting up the decoys under a known flightline saw nothing coming in. Never been like this before at this time of year, hope it changes when the farmer get the spring drillings in! Just wondered if anyone else is seeing this, or will confess to nicking my pigeons!! Wingman
I am out on Sunday and I'll call the farmer Saturday to see whats going on. May try for an early start and get the decoys out rather than my usual wander around the fields!

Shotguneddy
Had 3 fields and 3 woods which have had tons in the last few weeks and now they've all disappeared, they all seem to be in the villages and towns now, weathers warmer days getting longer, roll on drillings
Wooder
How did you get on? Saw loads when I got there, 4 shots for 1 bird, then they all headed off for a distant rape field far away !! hardly saw another bird all morning! plenty of crows about might have a session on those Sunday morning. Salopian
Lots around at dawn , feeding on Rape , one shot , adios. Noticed many birds feeding on Ivy berries , but don't want to decoy.
Milo
Shot 54 on rape in North Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago. Decoyed well for a few hours but most of them were full of clover. Suggest you try looking for flight lines to emerging clover.
