peck
A lot of years ago the company that i worked for gave each employee 100 shares, i have since lost any paperwork that came with them. The question is how can i find out if the shares are still registered to me. (or have i sold them and forgotten)

Dano0404
Have you tried a google search on unclaimed money
Pistol p
Try the money saving expert.com. There will probably be a charge to replace the missing certificates, but I believe the shares will always be yours until you want to sell them. AVB
The Share Regsiter is what you want access to. This will contain details of ALL owners of shares in the company. The majority of companies hand over admin of the Share Regsiter to their Transfer Agency. Alternatively they may maintain the Share Regsiter themselves. Try contacting the company to find out which method they use and start from there. As a shareholder you should have been receiving company information - notice of AGM, dividends (if any) etc. over the years. Have you received any of these? Eyefor
Is the Company still going? If it folded your shares won't be worth anything. If it was taken over then your shares might be re-issued by the new parent and might be worth loadsadosh! I would suggest Companies House free search is your starting point https://www.gov.uk/get-information-about-a-company
