turbo33
I want to fit a weaver/picantinny rail to my Tikka T3, 223, sporter barrel. Then either Leopold QRW mounts or Warne, to the MTC viper 4-16x50 scope. The point of which, is to also fit QRW to the Photon 6.5 x 50 so that I can swap between the two. Can I ask for advice on height of mounts for these two and choice of rail? If you have this combination, your experiences would be very helpful. Many thanks T33
bluesj
Why not go with the Leupold QR bases and rings, retain zero better that the warn. There is a chart (that I cant find now) that gives ring heights for different rifles and scopes
turbo33
unfortunately, whilst they would work well with the Viper scope, and swapping traditional scopes, the mounting has to be much further back on the photon due to the bulky configuration, that it would't be interchangeable, thats why Im stuck with the weaver rail option. But thank you for the input. Edited April 1, 2017 by turbo33
racing snake
I went with the highly recommended Tier One rail (20 MOA) T33. Needed to put one on for the Drone Pro QR mounts. Can't recommend on mounts though sorry, as I fitted the rail for the Drone only. http://www.tier-one.eu/picatinny-rails.html

welshwarrior
Leupold do their QR bases and mounts for the T3 work very well on all rifles.
