finreid Posted May 4, 2017 Report Share Posted May 4, 2017 I'm looking to buy a browning Maxus, and I've settled on a 28" barrel having had a play with the different lengths. I have a breakdown gun cabinet which is 82cm long (32inch) but am conscious that when broken down the browning's barrel is actually longer than the 28" stated. Can someone with a 28" maxus measure the actual length of the barrel when broken down for me? I've seached high and low on the web but can't find an answer! Suspect it is going to very close to the 32" mark! I fear that it may not fit in my cabinet, in which case I'll have to get a different cabinet as not interested in the 26" model! Thanks! You might find the bigger problem ( no pun intended) is the stock plus action with the mag tube is longer than the barrel and is the limiting factor. Wymberley - That's what I'm hoping - i.e. 28" + 3" so 31", however it is so close to the 32" I didn't want to assume that is the case first - much rather have it confirmed!
