rimmie
Hi all, me and the missus are considering buying a bungalow and putting 2 bedrooms (a master and a smaller) and either a shower room or en suite to the master. My question is what's a ROUGH price I'm looking at ? I know there are many variables, that's why I say rough. We're thinking about loosing the little study that's marked with the cross to make way for the stairs. Any input appreciated.

wandringstar
might end up as more, if you have more. Edited May 8, 2017 by wandringstar
Delwint
It was just an off the top of my head figure not knowing sizes, your existing roof type, head height, if you want dormers or veluxes. It was just a ballpark 👍🏼
wandringstar
Building work has gone up a lot, I think he might be looking at nearer 50, or more, the boom continues around my way, builders are becoming celebrities, a scaffolder around my way has a mansion and a roller, fair play to him, he has been at it for years grafting and building a team. AVB
Building work has gone up a lot, I think he might be looking at nearer 50, or more, the boom continues around my way, builders are becoming celebrities, a scaffolder around my way has a mansion and a roller, fair play to him, he has been at it for years grafting and building a team. I would have said more than £30K but perhaps less a than £50K all in including fittings and decorating. I had some work done downstairs recently - knocking down three walls, which included some heafty steelwork, £4K of electrical work, a couple of kitchen units, plastering, decorating, flooring etc. That came to £30K. What the OP is doing sounds more complex than mine.

Delwint
Not a lot of brickwork in a loft conversion tho 😂
WGD
How much floor area will you create and can the existing bungalow loft be converted or is it a re-roof?
chady
Just to be clear? Do you want to take of the roof or part roof joist it then build up and build a roof? Or just convert the loft space into rooms?
