  1. where? I have both old and new testament here now, please tell me the pages I need to look at, to qualify your post.
  2. even a non lethal bullet would stop an assailant, police should have guns in my opinion. I think the public should be allowed one aswell, subject to training. A rolling pin is no longer enough.
  3. a handful? oh dear. If it makes you feel safe, carry on dreaming.
  4. I have heard him many times on u.s. talk radio.
  5. In a normal world, there is nothing there, she tripped over a parasol. my dad went round to check on his elderly neighbour one night, she was too tight to buy an outside light, he tripped on a step and broke his ankle, should he have sued her? On another occasion He was walking up the road minding his own, and a dog ran out of a property and bit him, still dident sue, just called the owner a XXXX and threatened to kick the XXXX out of the dog, problem over in his book.
  6. I like your attitude, you are living correctly and in a way that you think is right, I have been on holidays abroad that have been expensive and I was more or less ready to go home as soon as I landed, but last week I went to dorset and it was cheap and marvellous.
  7. well you are just doing what a moderator is meant to do, and I thank you for your efforts, no need to close things, that's a censor's job. Thanks sincerely, wandringstar.
  8. you tell us, you keep pulling apart everybody's posts, maybe we don't know, but you obviously do know what to do...............so you tell us.
  9. I think worrying about what words politicians use is way down our list of worries, don't you? Its what they have done and continue to do or not do that worries me.
  10. the election has to go on, its too symbolic if they stop that.
  11. A customer of mine, an older woman, was crying when I went to see her shortly after the Manchester attack, crying for her grandchildrens future, I read the other day, a man killed himself because he couldn't live in a world of terror anymore. Who will help us? Our government cant, Mi5 do their best, so do the police, but its not enough, nowhere near enough to help us.
  12. trump dident lie, he has spent every moment of his presidency trying to implement his objectives and promises, I find it annoying when people throw in an untruth and just expect it to go unchallenged. His promise to the miners and industry was just implemented by his refusal of the silly paris climate accord, the bloke is a breath of fresh air regardless of his oddities. So maybe you meant corbyn was trying the Hillary approach.
  13. a reduced majority for May would be a disaster, as this was the whole point of calling an election.
  14. Seems hard to believe that in the space of 10 days people are concerned about labour getting in, when the bookies were offering 25-1 on for the tories. Whats really happened since then? nothing, corbyn is what he has always been, May hasn't been that electric, but then not bad either, seems strange that a bunch of hard left Marxists are putting the wind up people. Or are they? I think its the dirty media again, but then again there are a hell of a lot of gullible people around.
  15. We need very small government focusing on the basic core issues, cut it to the bone, stop nannying people and watch the country flourish, just because people want things, doesn't mean a government should provide it, the stuff I am seeing around me, is an out of control big brother style governance, I suspect its the same in other countries. I remember a few years back, Nottingham council offered free golf to those on benefits. Belgium once ran successfully without a government for over a year, when they couldn't elect a party. Politicians want people to think they constantly need help, they don't, they just want real hope, not platitudes. This is the worst political campaign I have ever seen, including U.S. elections.
  16. I said from day one when the election was announced, he will get millions of votes, young people have been bombarded by the left since kindergarten, sadly there parents were also brainwashed, so there was no alternative view in their lives. I don't think he will win, but she has set out to increase her majority, if she fails then its a disaster for her.
  17. Andrew Neil should have walked out, this was the most ridiculous behaviour I have ever seen from a politician, abbot and corbyn's recent ineptitude was made to look just clumsy by this twerp of a man.
  18. My neighbour recently died, he was late 80s, he had no family, no friends, never married and no one in the street could remember any woman. His funeral request was that he only wanted his solicitor present, he had a god daughter who inherited everything. A male Eleanor Rigby?
  19. It was actually worse than Abbott's on lbc Is this the pinnacle of politics?
  20. I have never had a problem with a doctor's receptionist, I don't really care if they can see my record, I have never felt a lack of privacy, sorry to go against the grain of the thread, but that is my experience of receptionists.
  21. Just watched the attempt at his interview. The man is a disgrace with the contempt he held for andrew neil's questioning. I honestly don't think he is the shilling. Watch it and see if you can believe it.
  22. Ĺloyd, you made a little forgivable error in thinking that people were talking about trying it on to get a payout There was a legitimate injury, but he is the type who can't be bothered with it as he has put it down to life. Other people would legally see it differently. If you have an injury and you are claiming you wouldn't do what you said and wait and see, as this would weaken your claim.
  23. There are enough ill informed people across the age spectrum who will vote for Labour, this circus with Jeremy the 'hero' showing up at the last minute for the debate, will help Labour's vote count hugely, such is the depth of thinking in many people.
  24. I couldn't imagine anything better than being rich, i know you are meant to say all that rubbish about there is more to life than money, but being rich would get rid of that constant worry about getting money, and then you could live your life and be the person you wanted to be.
