GingerCat
I know pigeons like it when it's been harvested but are they interested when it's been drilled? Never paid attention but new permission has a lot of it.
JDog
Yes they do feed on the plants up to a certain height. In addition weed control in sugar beet is not easy and pigeons very often feed on weeds between the rows.
muncher
At times they love the young plants especially in dry conditions like now ,I have one farmer who has lost crops of sugar beet to pigeons and is very paranoid about his beet.
