ips
Excuse me for being a Luddite but can someone explain how the torch lazer combo set up works in practice and what if any are the benefits
manthing
Please elucidate. Torch is for illumination and lazer is an aiming tool. What's the combination you're referring to?
ips
Sorry should have worded that better. I understand the torch is exactly that BUT how does one work with the laser, is it a range finding tool if so how does that work in conjunction with your scope ? Guest
I havent seen a laser attachment that could allow for fine tuning to a zero. If you can the laser would only be 'on target' for one distance. Not sure I see the benefit over a scope other than for lolz.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, you also have to be carefull using a laser type torch on a rifle out in the fields, you would not go far wrong with a T type torch fitted on the scope
ips
How beneficial is a scope mounted torch for rabbit. ?? Apart from the obvious.

Apart from the obvious. hello, that would be the best way forward used by 1000s of hunters, you will not go far wrong buying a new T 38 if an air rifle or the new TR 38 with a red led pil from ludicrous lumins .co.uk andy is a good chap to buy from. timmytree
Are you thinking of a high laser mounted some way above the scope? There was a member on AAOC who used this system very successfully at night. The idea is that you set the laser to coincide with your chosen zero, then when in the field any targets closer than zero will have the laser dot above the crosshairs, further than zero the dot will be below the crosshairs. Basically an aid to range finding.
ips
Yep that's pretty much what I meant
timmytree
Yep that's pretty much what I meant Right, the system got called, LOAS, Laser On A Stick! Basically the laser was on a threaded bar, from memory I'd say 200mm above the scope. I can't find any details but I remember the user having some great bags with it.
