ips
There is a rubber o ring in front of the bolt which presumably keeps some friction during lock up. I think it has become worn as the bolt seems quite loose. Bolt is obviously glued onto shaft as it wont come off even with Allen screw out. Should I be concerned and if so how to change it. bruno22rf
Replace it and the one between the bolt handle and the rear of the action - my local guy did mine for £3 - the one in the breach is a bit tricky to get out, my dealer used a dental tool. As far as I know its the rear O ring that tightens things up. You might also like to loosen the bolt handle from the shaft and reposition it to get a firm lock up just short of the woodwork. ips
Ye its the one between the handle / bolt and action that seems to be worn. Bolt handle mighty tight I was a bit concerned about tapping it with something to get it off so thought a bit of research was in order first. ips
Oooh Found a flat rubber seel (not an O ring) that is bang on right diameter. Managed to sneek it over the bolt handle without needing to take handle off. Works a treat lock up now tight as you like 😁
