bicykillgaz
Hi, Just curious what people make of the glass on the newer Hawke optics. I've currently got a Meopta 2100 7x50 on my .22lr but now the nice weathers approaching I fancy something higher mag to do some longer range plinking. Thinking of something like an Airmax 30 or Frontier?? In 6-24x50, I still want to use it at dusk/Dawn/night though so don't want to be ending up with **** low light capabilities. Cheers Gary

Lumsden26
I have just bought a panorama HD 3-9x50 and to be honest it's not that good the light glares off the rear lense and makes the cross hairs hard to focus on . Might be better in the higher end ones.
Harry Callahan
Not sure what model my Hawke is - but it's a 6-24x50ao IR and is 4 years old. It's pretty good at dusk. At night, on lower mag - upto 12x or 15x it's very good. But if you crank up the magnification beyond that it gets poorer. But iv never got it above 9x at night so I'm happy with it. It's a good scope on my HMR
steve_b_wales
I've used the Hawke Endurance 30 scopes which are excellent. Most carry a full 10 year guarantee too. I have also used lower priced Hawke scopes, but still good quality.
