islandgun
recently bought a s/h 1416 and on removing the bolt have found the firing pin is in two parts (the main pin and a small extension piece that actually strikes the shell) Im guessing that the original owner had a few miss fires and glued on the extension on to enable him sell to any unsuspecting fool !....... any info or drawings i can find show the pin as one piece, can anyone confirm please? I got he rifle from a rfd

Can take a few snaps if you're desperate and in a muddle? Thats very kind of you , my problem is that, there is a very small pin that strikes the case which is seperate from the main firing pin, I really cant see why its there but think this could be an add on (bodge) to assist detonation I should add that this small pin falls out if you take out the bolt or are not cycling a round. I have never had a bolt action before, but got 4161 because it seemed to be the best !

Whitebridges
From one Norfolk buoy to another I hope this has helped. If you have trouble getting a new one I'll help. Annie bits are pricey e.g. a magazine but they are worth the trouble.
