LoneGunman
So AAA is for professionals only?
Guest stevo
So AAA is for professionals only?No Your George digweeds Richard foulds ect ect are all AA shots. Same as joe bloggs across the road when doing a normal registered shoot. However AAA class is only used in English, British and World event in the disciplines of English Sporting and Sportrap. If your good enough you or anyone can do the same. For instance if you have an average of 90.88% or higher in sportrap you to will have an AAA classification but like I said only AAA class is only used in English, British and World event in the disciplines of English Sporting and Sportrap. Standard reg shoot your be AA Edited May 24, 2017 by stevo
figgy
It's worked out percentages. For example The best or top say 5percent would be AAA class the next ten percent AA class the next 10 percent A class then next ten percent B class the rest who are left would be C class or even down to D class in FITASC sporting. The way it's done is on the cpsa site the above is just for example and percentage cut probably wrong but you get the idea. Don't think there are many if any pros in the uk who earn their living solely from being paid to shoot. They usually have other jobs like shooting coaches instructors. Westward
Do professionals - i.e. Those who are paid to shoot - have their own CPSA class? I don't think anyone is paid to shoot. Quite a few get help with shells and/or guns but very few are fully sponsored. Some get a living from shooting with things like owning or operating grounds, providing instruction etc. but most have jobs and families, just like the rest of us. There's a thing going in America called the Professional Clay Shooting Association (PCSA) comprised of the top shooters around and they're trying to get more attention from TV companies with a series of shoots through the year. No idea how well it's working but I wouldn't think clay shooting is particularly TV friendly but then I don't think golf is either so what do I know... figgy
Westward the pcsa had a night shoot series that was quite good on tv. The clays were all blaze orange and had the powder so showed up well under the flood lights. It's on you tube.
