2004 kia sorento auto

Recommended Posts

Mine was ultra reliable for the years I had it. Only time it let me down was when the water pump went which on 14 year-old car with over 100.000 miles was no cause for real concern. It was a cracking car which we only sold as I got a company car.

The reported issues are rusty rear axle brackets and fuel tank delamination but most.should be sorted now and either way kia do the repair work for free.

that's put me off[cheers for that mate]ill stick to my frontera

I have got it wrong the one that I was looking at was a 2007 Kia Sorento 2.5 Diesel with auto box and the road tax for that one is £520 per year but I have just looked it up and the exact same car made in 2004 the road tax is £305 per year.

Having said that if your Frontera is rust free I would still keep it much better off road I was thinking about getting one last year but could not find a good rust free one so I got another Jeep.

I was looking for a 2005 jeep as the road tax on that was about £300 but had to settle for a 2007 with a 2.8 diesel and the tax on that is over £500 but at least I still have the option of four wheel drive high and low range

Is not the Sorento only 2wd not much good for going over fields etc if wet.

yes will do mate, the only thing thats making me change is that my 4x4 gos in put when i come to take it out of 4x4 it sounds like a bag of bolts then it like judders then gos normal back into 2 wheel drive?any help would be very helpful cheers kev

I had problems with my old x-reg jeep xj I found that with non land rover 4x4s it is down to trying to find a garage that new what they was doing I had two garages check it over and nether could find what was wrong with it.

in the end a friend recommended a chap that did mostly 4x4 repairs on a farm he spotted the problem as soon as I told whim what was wrong it was the transfer case/box I got a second hand one for £90 and he put it problem solved but it took many months before I found this guy to do it for me.

We looked at getting one, would advise 2006 onwards because thats when they sorted fuel tank problems.

Friend had one and it just cut out in the outside lane of motorway :unhappy:

Most of the reviews i read praised the car and said it should of been badged 'range rover' for its level of equipment.

We ended up with a td4. :good:
