ditchman Posted July 18, 2017 Report Share Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) 6011 and 7014 are the fracture strenghth of the welds the rods produce.....if you are just doing general welding stick to the 6011.....they are easier to use than the 7014...if you are doing structural welds you need to start thinking about /using low hydrogen rods..........but before you do ...you need to be able to weld first as the low hydrogen and high fracture strength rods are more difficult to use..
