psycho
I got a benelli 828u on Friday Saturday was spent adjusting the gun all you need is a screwdriver Philips. 13mm socket.bar and ratchet the gun comes with a comprehensive shim kit and add ons. For the rib to be perfect I ended with a 57mm drop and 6mm of set. The rib is perfectly flat now. It comes to the shoulder perfect with no movement from leval to straight up. I have never had a gun that fitted so good...Sunday rain Monday able to take gun out The first thing from getting it into the field is weight it is just over 6lb and this is an all day carry gun.it has the 28 inch barrals and it not that long. while carrying I could not help praise the ergonomics it holds in one hand and carries so well. Then when you hold by the stock and for end again ergonomically brilliant it's as if it's a part of you and it looks class with its quality Wood and the silver with engraving On.. I loaded with 32 6s (all I had) brought up to the shoulder with a pigeon in my sights.the safety flicks easily and the gun swings and points and moves like an English side by side...it is perfect..I pulled the trigger the recoil is slightly heavy but not to bad hardly felt really in the shoulder but a little movement on the cheek pad..with the gun being so light.the rear pad absorbs recoil brilliantly The trigger is like a rifle trigger as it has some play at the beginning like a 2 stage..I love it..this gun has made me smile after one outing ..I will use 28 6s cartridges in the future after I use up my current supply but it is OK with 32s. Cleaning not to bad the gun comes apart easily but the ejectors extend from the barral making it harder to clean than say a browning Overall..I can only say that my 10 month old browning 725uk grade 3 in brand new condition will be on the market soon .. this 828u gun will be the one I will always use .I cannot see me using another gun.for me it is perfect. perfect fit.perfect weight. Perfect trigger.ergonomically brilliant. I can't wait till I am out again
Scully
My nephew has one; he says it can 'start to tell' after a long session in the hide. That wouldn't stop me getting one however; lovely handling guns in my opinion.

Wingman
Interesting and I am tempted by one of these after shooting a demo gun at AGL. I still have a nagging concern that the action felt very "busy" when firing and I wonder how many gunsmiths could sort out problems if they go wrong. Don't get me wrong I love the technical innovation and it shoots beautifully but I don't think I would replace my 20 year old perazzi with one just yet... But then again.... Many thanksI used a very specialist piece of equipment known as A straw from McDonald's put it on the top of rib using blue tack adjusted the shims until i could see through it perfectly from leval to 45 degree angle then checked by mounting with eyes closed and could see perfectly through straw and see the end bead Once it's like a tunnel on every mount you have the rib aligned to you... Then fired at a piece of brown paper between 2 sticks.all from pound shop and found it spot on. Edited July 26, 2017 by psycho
