yickdaz
as per title, still not really got into them in big numbers but we are coming away with bags in the 30s 40s 50 60 all on barley stubble the 2 fields rape had been harvested in the week and disced in the day after, there was a few birds on them but tractor was working one field and the other had a few hundred on it, and 100 blacks so we gave them a go on the barley stubble just in front of it the flightlines were going across the barley stubble so we thought we could funnel them in on that, it worked to an extent we put out 6 crow decoys to the left and the pigeon decoys 50 yards to the right of them and just used a flapper, the whirly would of put the crows off, the pigeons didn't come back for a few hrs the crows gave us some sport in that time then the pigeons made an appearance, it wasn't hectic shooting but both blacks and woodies came in at regular intervals we cobbled a bag together of 25 blacks 18 woodies and 4 ferals[ the other pic Is from last week on the same field 37 woodies 3 crows 2 ferals
pigeon controller
Daz, you can only the numbers on the field. So if you see fifty and shoot forty nine that's a bad day? Nice to hear that you are out shooting, keep it up.
motty
Certainly some bags not to be sniffed at! Been similar for me over the last couple of weeks, with bags of 56, 20, 69, 60 and 83. I feel the best bags of harvest are yet to come.
