BPS S4

Would you be so kind as to pm or email me it Please as i believe the powder i have is the same

I got proofed loads so, can post them no problems; only thing is that these have been loaded with NSI S4 black dot on batches from 2013-2016; the powder is very stable but I would still pattern them to see how they perform on your gun and then adjust accordingly

S4 batch 23/02/2016
12/70/T1 - Cx2000 1.45 x 32 SG25 - Star crimp @ 58mm - PMax: 512 bar V1: 400 m/s
12/70/T1 - Cx2000 1.55 x 32 SG25 - Star crimp @ 58mm - PMax: 572 bar V1:419 m/s
12/70 NSI 688 1.40x28 GT27 star crimp at 58mm exactly PMax: 420 bar, V1: 395 (this will work better with 1,45 and an SG27 as will give you 470 bar and 405 m/s)
I also have a 34-35 g in 12 bore if you need it
For the 20 bore, i don't have any data as i reload the same shells since 1997:
20/67 Fiocchi 615 1,10-1,15 (warm-cold temperatue)x 25g, SG25 star crimp @ 57.8 mm Pmax 620 bar V1 408 m/s
20/70 CX1000 1,15 x 26 SG25 star crimp @ 60 mm PMax 780 bar V1 410 m/s
cheers,

Certainly does not look like Nobel sports S4n which is doubled based and laminated flakes, part of the Tecna and sipe group of powders. Your photos look like a granular powder like GM3, Prima SV group.

What's the providence of the powder? Is the correct powder in the correct tub?

They small bit of load data is at the bottom of load data for GM3 new powder marked with a black dot.

My father gave me the powder but has mislaid the full load data ( he is 80 yr old ) but i believe you are on the right track

I thought it weird it was S4 as i never found it in UK...

The problem with GM3 is that it has changed dramatically throughout the years: batches prior to 2000 could load up to 34 g with 32 being the optimum load; up to 2010 it became a clay powder loading up to 28 g and struggling to go up to 30' recently had been slowed down and reaches up to 32 g max.

12/70 Fiocchi 615, 1,55 x 32 Gualandi 19 or 21 (can't recall now) closed at 58mm exactly was a staple from north to south of Italy

New batchesperformed better with 1,40 - 1,45 x 28 SG25 or Bior closed at 57.8-58 mm

although i heard (but not tested) that recent batches have provided good results with: 12/70 Fiocchi 615 1,50 x 31g. Gualandi21 (which is similar to the original 1,55 x 32)

in 20 bore i think you better not push it anymore than 20/70 Fiocchi 615 1,15 x 25 SG25 #5 star crimp at 60mm (not less)

cheers,
