8 bore bismuth

Recommended Posts

I have some data i can let you have if it will help you, Load Bismuth in both my 8 Bore doubles , but both are very different regarding loads Bismuth or otherwise, being a Westley Richards the other a 8 bore Greylag Bored out 10 bore which only has a .819 bore.

I load some nitro but Black powder too and recently started loading some Triple Seven in the Greylag which looks promising but not used it yet i have not had this long. What size gun is it for and are you using nitro or black ? Asking because if i used typical loads i use in the WR in the Greylag i think i would be peeling pieces of it off my face.

I bought the gun end of last season, so only got yo us it on couple of flights... It's a good solid gun, apparently .850. So no issues with tight wadding... Iv not got round to it yet but going yo get myself one of those deakin wad/seal units. Hear a lot of good things about them... So yes any data you have to share lancer425 would be great.... I think the bismuth shells that I used were bluedot moongeese, they seemed yo do the job well enough

Good tool from graham His cards are not the best for the seal , they are brittle round the edges after you make the cup , I use the card from fruit crates as some of it is waxed , and does not crack after you make the cup , I use hot bees wax as well on my wads for a better seal , that's with black and a brass case .
