lancer425
I have some data i can let you have if it will help you, Load Bismuth in both my 8 Bore doubles , but both are very different regarding loads Bismuth or otherwise, being a Westley Richards the other a 8 bore Greylag Bored out 10 bore which only has a .819 bore. I load some nitro but Black powder too and recently started loading some Triple Seven in the Greylag which looks promising but not used it yet i have not had this long. What size gun is it for and are you using nitro or black ? Asking because if i used typical loads i use in the WR in the Greylag i think i would be peeling pieces of it off my face. lancer425
Not seen an Armatalia Single 8 but if like the double 8 and the single fours will be strong enough. Blue dot is ok in the 8s got some loads for that, i will pm you some data.
moongeese
I have found Blue Dot the best powder for 8-Bore loads. Bill
lancer425
It is good in the 8 and other bores too you can usually get something that works well with Blue dot and that is with with most shot types.
Smiler23
I bought the gun end of last season, so only got yo us it on couple of flights... It's a good solid gun, apparently .850. So no issues with tight wadding... Iv not got round to it yet but going yo get myself one of those deakin wad/seal units. Hear a lot of good things about them... So yes any data you have to share lancer425 would be great.... I think the bismuth shells that I used were bluedot moongeese, they seemed yo do the job well enough

B525 LIGHT
How are finding the larger shot sizes of bismuth perform in the eight? Any evidence of the shot disintergrating?
lancer425
Not as i have seen, some say it disintegrates but not found this myself it likes buffering i found so always do could be why i get no trouble with it. .
shakin stevens
American bismuth is way better than the uk stuff , it is brittle but as said above buffer does help , I did use a plastic wrap as well . Just to prevent contact with the barrel wall, that was in a felt wad load .
lancer425
Wrap it in damp proof membrane notro loads, black and triple seven use card from drinks cartons foil side out plastic fouls in these loads i found . the small cartons little kids have are best thinner.
