Rewulf
Just love the way some of you are prepared to ignore racist scumbags that have killed one woman there already and make an equivalence between them and so called extreeeeme left liberal snowflakes (what the hell is that anyway) you don't watch news much do you ? POTUS is 100% racist white supremacist and his hand has been blown wide open, murica is in the grips of a mega dose of karma. You do know political people there (mainly European heritage too) have resigned their posts in response to the racist Trump's rants don't you ? Lets take a step back here and examine what actually happened, rather than listen to the MSM and their version of events. The US has free speech, its in their 1st amendment, so if you want to protest about the removal of statues, listen to neo nazi speeches and do a torchlit march, as long as you have a permit from the city/state where you want to do it, you can. You also have the right to protest against it, but you also need a permit. So, guess who got a permit and who didnt ? The permit for the statue removal protest was pulled as the march started, much to the dismay of the participants, who briefly tussled with the police, who just happened to be fully riot geared up. Said police herded them straight into the crowd of antifa and blm counter protesters, who were fully armed and ready for them. The police stood by and watched as the ensuing violence unfolded. Obviously there is no justification for the car attack, and resultant death and injuries, but you can imagine there were some people that day who may have thought they got well shafted, and strangely , the roads are normally closed off to traffic when marches like these happen, you can see the liberal use of barriers in the videos. So ,ask yourself, why was the permit even granted in the first place, knowing full well antifa would be there in force , and violence would ensue ? Why did the police herd them straight into the opposing protest ? Why didnt the police break up the illegal antifa protest ? Why were the roads not closed off to traffic ? Its not as if cars and vans used as weapons hasnt become mainstream. So a catalogue of failures by town planning and police. What could have been a relatively peaceful march ends up a bloodbath. If antifa hadnt turned up, would there still have been violence ? A protest over some statues turns into a left/right race war. And who do the media blame, Trump, because he said both sides were to blame. If you cant see the hypocrisy now, you never will.
grrclark
Of which the sacking of the Rochdale MP, Sarah Champion is a prime example. Very much so and a perfect example.
Vince Green
You have to understand that the Americans have a word that does not cross the Atlantic to us and have the same meaning. That word is Patriot, it has very strong implications. The best way I can describe it is it confers 'Noble Cause Exemption' from the normal rules and laws , as evidenced in Charlottesville apparently. These groups would describe themselves not as right wing thugs, the are Patriots. Any elected sheriff is going to think long and hard about taking them on. Or else, come voting day he will be out, policing is complicated in America, especially in the deep South.
