Does anyone have had this issue? Altberg dont want to know as they were bought fron ebat. I dont think there faulty but will they take time to break in? Fuddster
I softened an old pair of parade boot with the help of a rubber mallet and liberal coats of neats foot oil-Yes, I know, there was recent post about its use but it worked on the these boots. Altberg only recommend using their 'Ledergris' as a protective dubbing and not general shoe polish-so worth getting some. I have the Field and Fells for winter and a pair of Aqua Sneekers for warmer months and they've been good but do take a bit of wearing in. f. TriBsa
Surprised you've had a problem as they are very well padded internally, unless of course they are faulty. Are they laced as per factory specification?

Are they laced as per factory specification? Yeah I double checked this too. I will try to soften them
TriBsa
Wear them round the house and for short walks. You'll soon get them comfortable. Just the warmth of your feet will help. No sense in crippling yourself on long walks if they hurt. Mine were uncomfortable at first with the optional insole, but now I use it.
