Delwint
I'd arranged with a couple of friends to meet up this morning as I'd seen a fair few pigeons and crows on a recently cut barley field. Well the weather this morning was shocking and it didn't take long before the texts came through to say first one wasn't coming and then quickly after the other cried off too. Nor to be put off seeing as the Labrador had seen the shooting gear being moved, and she was stuck to me like glue, off we went up the farm. Found a fence line that had plenty of foliage around it and set up my brolly and covered it it in netting. There were no numbers to talk of but the ones that were about decoyed straight into the middle of the pattern. And also managed to call a few crows in to make up the numbers. Ended on 10 woodies 7 crows and 6 ferals. Now off to the pub to wind the lads up about their missed opportunity

Delwint
It was nice to get out and get Lola picking up, the only downside is that yesterday there were probably 500 pigeons and 100 crows on that field. On a plus note 50 canadas came in which was nice to see. However the farmer on that permission won't allow me to shoot them.
