Broken screw.

I thought I'd clean my NV set up, a Tikka M55 in 22.250 flavour. Not wanting to remove the scope I used a spanner and the correct size screw head to remove one of the action screws top rear of the action, the other is on the floor plate so easy access.  You also need to remove screw on the trigger guard just behind the magazine retaining clip.

All apart and cleaned, a tad grubby as it's not been stripped for 12 months. All put back together nicely then go round and torque up the action bolts. Got to the one on the trigger and snapped it, Oh ! Bother !!! Bottoms and football's,

Why bother using a proper tool for the job if you don't alter the torque setting on it. I left it set on 60in/lb plonker.

I didn't really need to clean it, just got bored and started twiddling. So down to the cave and found a screw with the correct thread, shortened and turned the head down to fit.

Fixed and back in the cabinet.

Must be bored to let the PW crew into my sad Sunday morning antics.
