Cawdor118
I'm about to buy some sillosock style decoys. Would 12 grey and 12 pinks be enough and can I mix them together?
motty
I take it you are talking about goose shooting. Mixing them would be fine. You could have just bought one type, really.
Cawdor118
My apologies - yes goose. Haven't bought them yet, I was going to get 12 of each from riverside outdoors.

But when my grandson first started to try for Geese i bought juvenile Blue Phase Snow Geese sillosock from Canada ( 1/4 the UK price ) i mixed 36 Socks with 6 Shell and 6 full bodied decoys IF they wanted to coy they would land amongst them But a good mate of mine put out 150 Socks 2 Hydra Flappers never fired a shot my self with a black lab stood behind a hedge shot 3 R/L walked away and left 20k+ Geese feeding on a field Long winded But no it won't make a jot be hid well keeping still and knowing the Geese is far far more important than type/species of Goose decoys.
