Dibs85
Hi Again Chaps, Can anybody clarify the following for me, after seeing a 22lr barrel liner for sale by Brownells, I imagine it would be a part you would need to show your FAC for, Is this correct? Also as a general question to think about what parts of a gun do you need a licence to buy ie. bolt, Firing pin etc. Cheers
Andy H
In theory it is just a rifled tube with no chamber reamed in it ,Not part of a firearm until you make one so it should be off ticket.
Walker570
I don't know what the US Authorities would class it as but export licenses for any firearm related item was $250 the last time I applied. Brownells are very good they will advise.
Graham M
Tried to buy one from Midway UK a couple of years ago. No deal; they won't sell unless you are a dealer/gunshop etc
AYA117
I believe the US has the same law as us ! In that a dealer can only ship to another dealer and not a private person. Any pressure part of a firearm requires a licence, but as said an unchambered rifled barrel is just a tube of metal and does not require a licence.
