Gordon R
I have a fair number tools, but bought a job lot, which contained this tool. Made in USA, but no maker of model number. It is like a pair of pincers, but as the jaws close, a central piece moves up to join the two jaws. It appears to be some sort of crimping device, although unlike any other I have. The last three photos show the stages of the jaws.
bornfree
Is it for crimping drive shaft gaiter bands where the finished crimp needs to be flat.
Ultrastu
Looks like a crimper for metal stud work . So instead of screwing the studs together u use this crimper . Quicker and cheaper.

As I bought the tools from a Volkswagen Agent, I think that you are correct. Just checked Google - you are correct. Thanks. I will hang on to it. Gordon R
Now I know what it is - can find a use for it crimping fuel lines on youngest lad's KTM fuel lines. They are inside the tank, with a filter, which needs to be changed at alarmingly short intervals.
