Yellow Bear
Scope - no idea, however McAvoy guns are a good outfit to deal with.
Guest
These scopes have an excellent reputation at all levels of the market. They’re like the Tikka T3 of Rifle scopes, relatively cheap nd performing way above where they should be. Don’t hesitate to buy one. Any serious shooter will appreciate it when they see one. rush187
Don' go with opticswarehouse. They have none in stock and haven't a clue when they'll have any. Waited 4 weeks and in the end had to demand a refund. If mcavoy guns have them on the shelf ill have one now. I'l 2nd what thebigman said. Fisheruk
McAvoys are excellent people to deal with. Tim is the gaffer and a great guy. Hannah, his daughter is excellent and a very knowledgeable helpful lass. Craig is also a top man.
Savhmr
+1 for McAvoys. Decent to deal with. The PST Mk2 is an improvement on the Mk1 which I didn't really rate. I never really saw what all the fuss was about with them, except for some models having FFP. Any I looked through milked out a bit at higher mags, had poor FOV and I thought the glass was only so-so. The Mk2 is better, probably more like the Mk1 Razor and a decent enough scope for the money although it's in amongst really tough competition at the price. There's a lot of scope available for similar money including some of the newer Deltas, the (much better imho) Bushnell Elite Tactical 34mm tubed scopes (DMR et al), Steiner Ranger, etc etc. I'd certainly deal with McAvoys though. How do you rate the Leupold VX3i ?? The low turrets appeal to me as a duel purpose target / hunting scope
Savhmr
Fopr the Vx3i I can't really say Lloyd. I have owned their VX3 4-14 x50 LR scopes and they have been very good for the money. Not the brightest, but the lens coatings seem optimised for picking up darker shades quite well, so useful as the light fades. I always found mine to hold zero pretty well too. I rated mine as one of the better varminting scopes that I owned, bettered only by the Delta Titanium (although I didn't like the turret adjusters on that). You're generally pretty safe with a Vx3...any of them. Just take care to pick a ret that suits you. Their ballistic rets on their LR range are good.
