Keith oakey
Hi all looking at a new pair of trousers for all year shooting, recommendations for either Deerhunter blizzard or Seeland blackmoor would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Smokey
.20 Hunter
Personally I'd give both a miss, buy fortis clothing. Around same price but made in the uk.

mudpatten
Of the two you mentioned - Deerhunter without a doubt. Seeland is flimsy, poorly designed and grossly overpriced. Fortis is excellent gear but, garment for garment, It`s considerably more expensive than Deerhunter. You`ve mentioned that you want trousers for all year shooting but the Blizzard stuff has a waterproof membrane and a thinsulate liner. They`re designed for the cold and wet, great for the winter but not the other five months of the year. Most deerhunter, and other makes, has either a waterproof membrane and is waterproof, or it does`nt and is intended for use in dry weather. I`m not sure that an "all year" trouser exists, they`re either one or the other, but not both. The new Deerhunter Strike range is lightweight, well ventilated, wind resistant and showerproof and is about as close as you`ll get to "all year". Hope this helps. Keith oakey
Your dead right Mudpattern, should really have explained myself more. they are really for this time of the year, can change rapidly from being mild with rain or cold with rain but the main reason was. Sportsman gun cente selling Deerhunter blizzard in the sales and John Norris selling the Seeland blackmoor in there sales. i really want a pair smart enough to stand on a peg so sitting in a pigeon hide. Have got Deerhunter Rusky for extreme conditions, high seat etc, can't fault them. Blizzard at £40 and Seeland at £55 cheers

I have a pair of these, without doubt the warmest trousers I have ever owned, Absolutly no use for walking around in as the heat would wreck you, but for sitting in a hide or high seat, about the best there is. del.gue
As stated Seeland are flimsy. I was disappointed with my keeper jacket Got a Deerhunter Montana jacket. Far better. Also got a pair of Fortis trousers. British made and quite nice
activeviii
Been using two different deerhunters for the last 9 years. In that time I have gone through 5 seeland and 3 halika. Stick with deerhunters as the others your paying for name and marketing
