Today is my day off work! Other than the car being at the garage I had planned nothing, and was aiming to just mooch and relax! But at 09:30 get a call from Mum. She had ran out of milk, and needed some other bits too. So I caught the bus to the parents house. Dad isn't well at the mo and is also suffering with bad hips too. So Mum and I went to Morrisons "for a little shop" 2 hours later and a food bill to put buckinh palace to shame, we leave with dads suspension dragging the speed humps. I unpacked and put the stuff away before having a cuppa and leaving! So around 12:45 I leave (still the rest of the day I think) then at 13:10 another call from the Ex who had just finished work and wanted some company to go to town!! So on another bus journey, 2 cuppas later and several loo trips! We decide to grab a bite to eat. I was panicking about the lack of response from the garage and I think she thought I was on edge waiting of another ladies texts  so at around 16:30 Inget a call from the garage that the car is ready to collect! ANOTHER bus ride and a 25 min walk to the garage I paid the lad the money and we set off through blaydon on the way home. Then the ex exclaimed "I could do with some shopping" so we called into Morrisons " becoming a second home for me" and she shopped until I couldn't physically move the trolley. But having said that I managed to get a few bottles of beer in there for me :D and a few bits to make a dinner for a chris and myself when i got home! I am not 100% happy with the brakes on the car! Seems to be a little excessive travel on the pedal so think I will bleed it through again this week! But what a difference! Car pulls much better, no drag, and when i saw what was left of the N/S/R pads i wasn't surprised the car was having trouble pulling!

i got home, switched off the ringer on the phone and cracked open a chocolate orange stout, a pack of pork and pickle pork pies and other bits to nibble! I didn't get the laid back DAY I wanted, but intend to make the most of the evening.

bring it on :)
