Hi there!

My pigeon magnet uses a battery with 12V 17Amp.Hr

Today at work, i got a slight bigger barrery that looks the same, but ofcorse is bigger in size.

On this battery it says : Powerfit

S312/24 G5

12V

24Amp.Hr

My question is : Can i use this battery on my magnet without destroying it?

/cheers

Yes you can still use it the A hr equates to the ammount of amps the battery can power for an hour , ie it will power somthing drawing 12A for 2 hours where as the 17A would run it for 1hr 20.

so to put it bluntly it will power your decoys for longer.

hope thet is what you were looking for.

your magnet should have the power consumption on it or the instructions should so from this you can work out how long it will last

Normaly a newer rotary will require between 1.5 and 2A to power it.

More questions for you electric experts!

I bought a charger that says :

"Mascot 3 step charger"

Type 9640

Out: 14.7V/2.7A

Standby: 13.8V

230V~50-60Hz

0.5A

Does this work to charge my 17amp/h battery and my new 24amp/h ??

Cheers again!

Kikkan...why do you need such a large battery? Are you planing to stay out shooting pigeons all week? The whole pigeon shooting game is getting lighter weight and you buy a power plant that wouldn't be put to shame in a Scammel! or are you practicing for the Olympic weight lifting gold!
