grasshopper
Although the grass still hasn,t been cut i had to go out after charlie last night; Talking to 1 of the farmers on our shoot and he told me that the other morn when his mother opened her front door there was a fox eating the cat food in the farm yard Best have a look me thinks.Caught a whiff of fox twice on my way to the field i,d chosen so was quietly confident. Sat down with my back to a fence, with a hawthorn bush as cover, about 90yds from the wood..just below a local cycle path, when at 12 18am a cyclist comes past..he,s either keen or lost. Anyway gives it 10 mins then has a call, nothing tries a different hand call(Primos Mouse Squeaker).AHA the infra red laser on the Archer picks up a set of eyes peering out from the wood, directly in front of me,,attach the NV and watch.I,m shooting downhill so i wait for foxy to enter the field...now i have a backstop...55grns of Federal V shock to the shoulder and he drops where he stood just hope it,s the cat food lover This sounds very efficient and all went to plan .. doesn,t it...wrong.When i first got there and started to set up i realised that i,d only gone and picked up the bolt for my .22lr how in the hell i didn,t notice as it,s only half the size of the .22 250,s is beyond me.So it was a 12 mile round trip home and back ... serves me right. Feel free to laugh at my expense...i am....wot a **** GH
JohnGalway
Well done GH Lucky sod having that NV gear You should've got that cyclist to go get the proper bolt for ya, didn't seem like he'd anything better to do!

v-max
Hello & well done GH im going to have 1 of those Archer NV monocular's for my scope yet but i will also need a scope with parallax adj & i want the 6x24x50 swarovski. Not all bad as i have a 2.5x10x42 swarovski to sell in place & it's only 2/3yrs old or a 2.5x10x56 S&B as i wish to up grade both & like the S&B 4x16x50 too. grasshopper
Cracking shot Tullyuk. Don,t think you need NV with the amount of fox your getting but i find it excellent for the price . That 265yarder could be shot with this set up...does that answer 4 ya! V max, You won,t need a scope with that much mag as the Archer is x2 so doubles what the scope is set at already.I find with my scope set on 5-6 and the Archer attached i can clearly see fox out at 300yds...well in the open anyway. But have taken a few at 180yds and with no lamp on them they do seem to come in easier. Shame you both live so far away as i,d of went out for a night and you could of tried it. GH
v-max
Yeh i know about the power & my scope's site on 6x 90% of the time but extra zoom for through the day or paper is what im after.Very kind offer & i have looked at these Archer NV on web site's & video link's through them & spoke to you a while ago about & am convinced on them as a good buy.
