Walker570
Handy shotgun for someone ferreting, rough shooting at a reasonable price.
nabbers
£60 new in 1965 when £300 would buy an average new car so in todays terms a £3000 gun?
Old Boggy
I may be wrong on this, but that gun looks like an AYA Model 400e and not a No.4. The difference being the shoulders on the action on a 400e as opposed to the flat sides to a No.4. If that is the case, I understand that this was the precursor to the No.4 and made for the Spanish market in about the 60s and a slightly better gun than a No.4. An email to AYA in Spain would confirm this. They also made a non ejector Model 400, again with shoulders to the action and disc set strikers, which was the precursor to the No.3. An absolute bargain for someone. OB
Boristhedog
Thank you Old Boggy. In light of the information from him I’m withdrawing the gun from sale so I can confirm the model.
Old Boggy
Sorry if I've prevented someone getting a bargain at that price, but felt it right that he wasn't selling it too cheaply. OB
