NYorks
Hi - has anyone come across a scope mount for a BSA .22 LR 'Sportsman Fifteen'? There are two small screw holes in the rear left bolt housing but I have never seen a picture of this rifle with a scope or scope mount fitted. Grateful for any advice/information. Stonepark
I believe the holes at the rear may be for a peep site. There are mounting options for a scope i have seen and is the most familiar had a scope rail mounted immediately in front of the chamber. I don't know if this was custom or off the shelf as gun was second hand.
Gunman
Dont think they were ever intended to take a scope .Have seen one with a side mount fixed to the stock but it was only a low power and was very close to the bolt .Best suggestion is to have some made and fitted professionally but will cost. steve_b_wales
Many years ago, I had a BSA Sportsman 15, which had a scope rail fitted. The rifle 'breech' was drilled and tapped. It worked well for the years I had it.
